Fountainhead Announces 2024 Residency Artists
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - October 17, 2023 - Miami, FL. Fountainhead announces its 2024 artist residency selections, a roster of 30 exceptional contemporary artists from around the world and working across various media. Selected artists will live and work in Miami in the historic Morningside neighborhood for one month while connecting one-on-one with renowned curators, collectors, and arts professionals and the Miami public at-large. The immersive residency program is designed to offer artists time and space to create work, be inspired by Miami, and nurture relationships and connections that can help artists thrive in their careers; fulfilling the organization’s mission to elevate artists’ voices and transform society through their work.
This year’s applications were thoughtfully reviewed by an esteemed panel of curators and program alum working across the nation, which included Lauren Kelley, a Fountainhead alum based in Dallas; Zoe Lukov, curator and co-founder of Art in Common in Los Angeles; Ché Morales, a curator and founder of OG Magazine in New York; and Gilbert Vicario, the chief curator of the Perez Art Museum Miami.
Founded in 2008, Fountainhead has hosted over 530 artists from 49 different countries, and countless U.S. cities to date.
