Fountainhead Experience Members are invited to join us for a studio visit with Haitian-born, Miami-based artist Edouard Duval-Carrie. 

In his sprawling Little Haiti studio, Edouard creates politically-charged, luminous sculptures and mixed-media paintings evoking magical realism. As a child, Edouard fled Haiti during the Duvalier regime, inspiring a life-long motivation to reflect on the culture and history of his native homeland in an insightful critique of its past and present-day struggles. Materials like glass, bronze, and fiberglass feature prominently in his intricate works, which combine figurative and abstract elements to lend a spiritual and mystical quality to his oeuvre.

The Fountainhead Experience membership program is for those who want to see the world differently and develop intimate relationships with artists and art appreciators. This season, Fountainhead members will be immersed in the local landscape, with behind-the-scenes tours of private collections, artist-led experiences , and more.
